Career Development

Synopsis

Career development is important for individual and organizational growth in addition to business sustainability.  According to UC Berkeley Human Resources, career development increases employee motivation and productivity; and, attention to career development helps an organization to attract top staff and retain valued employees.

Career development is the lifelong process of managing learning, work, leisure, and transition in order to move toward a personally determined and evolving preferred living.  Many employees do not have a formal written career development plan; also, many are uncertain about their own career development.

This 2-day career development course/workshop focuses on the Career Path Mapping and Strategies for individuals of all backgrounds and at all levels at work.  Upon course completion each participant will have a career path mapped out with identified SMART goals, and a career development plan prepared for discussion with his/her supervisor(s) at work, mentor(s), sponsor(s), advocate(s) and/or leader(s).
